The Planning Portal (a UK Government website) contains information on the planning system, from making a planning application to appealing against a decision. General guidance on the online process can also be found on their 'Make an Application', 'Can you apply online' and 'Frequently Asked Questions' pages.

We encourage developers/applicants to seek pre-application advice with officers to identify any potential issues prior to formal submission and check our Standard details required for applications web page. Further information on the provision of pre-application advice can be found here.
