BATH & North East Somerset Council
has organised a trio of ‘egg-citing’ events and activities designed
to keep children of all ages amused during the Easter holidays in
Bath.
On Wednesday, April 7 at the Museum
of Costume children are invited to make fashionable waistcoats based
on the Georgian clothes in the museum’s displays. The sessions take
place at 11.30am-12.30pm, 1.30pm-2.30pm and 3.30pm-4.30pm – tickets
cost £1.50 per child.
The Victoria Art Gallery’s Young @
Art Club will be back in action on Tuesday, April 6 and Thursday,
April 15 at 10.30am-12noon and 1.30pm-3pm with activities based
around springtime.
The first session on April 6 will
see the young members exploring the Bryan Pearce exhibition and
creating a range of golden daffodils to bring colour to the Easter
holidays.
On April 15 club members will be
working together to make a springtime wall mural for display in the
Gallery’s education area. They will also be making a badge to
celebrate the Club’s third birthday featuring the mascot Percy the
Paintbrush.
Tickets for the Young @ Art Club
sessions cost £3 per child and places must be booked in advance on
Tel: 01225 477244. Children need to be accompanied by an adult at
all the sessions.
