Running with the Girls 2004
BATH & North East Somerset Council’s
popular ‘Running with the Girls’ summer course is now in its seventh
year and the course for 2004 starts next month.
The course, which is held in Bath
and Keynsham, is designed especially for women who would like to
take up running either to get fit, as a competitive sport or as a
form of recreation.
By the end of the eight week course,
participants should be able to run a minimum distance of five
kilometres.
During the early stages much of the
training takes place on grass before gradually progressing to the
streets and culminating in a fun run at the end of the course.
Running with the Girls gets started
in Keynsham on Tuesday, May 11 and in Bath on Wednesday, May 12 from
6.30pm-7.30pm.
To find out more and to enrol on the
course, there will be an information evening at Bath Sports and
Leisure Centre on Wednesday, May 5 at 6.30pm.
The course costs £18 per person
