BATH & North East Somerset Council’s
Discovery Card scheme is celebrating its second birthday in April.
The Council has issued more than
12,000 of the cards which offer local residents free entry and a
range of discounts at a number of heritage attractions in Bath &
North East Somerset.
The cards are available free of
charge from the Roman Baths and Assembly Rooms in Bath.
To celebrate the second anniversary
of the scheme, Cllrs Paul Crossley and Francine Haeberling, Leader
and Deputy Leader of Bath & North East Somerset Council, will be
collecting their Discovery Cards at the Roman Baths on Wednesday,
April 7 at 2pm from Cllr Nicole O’Flaherty, Executive Member for
Tourism, Leisure and Culture.
Cllrs Crossley and Haeberling said:
“Everyone at Bath & North East Somerset Council is delighted with
how successful the Discovery Card scheme has become.
“As local residents and councillors
we both get free access to the Roman Baths and Museum of Costume but
with the Discovery Card we can also take advantage of the special
offers and discounts at some of the other excellent heritage
attractions in our area.”
To get a card all you have to do is
take along proof of residency, such as a utility bill, and proof of
identity such as a driving licence or passport. A photograph for the
card will be taken on the spot.
The Discovery Card offers free entry
to the Roman Baths and Museum of Costume as well as the following
special offers and discounts:
